amandahpinney: (christmas story - ralphie wink)

I've got a month and a half left here in Korea and I'm beginning to understand how senioritis works, even outside of high school. I don't want to sound like a debbie-downer, but I keep finding all these things to complain about. I'm not going to go into all of that here, but just be aware that I am, in fact, complaining a lot more often these days. Which is silly, really, because I'm only getting closer and closer to where I want to be. What's to complain about? Oh yeah.

1. Old Korean Men. Especially the ones in my neighborhood. [PFFT]
2. The drummer in our band is leaving. His school closed and he's leaving next week. So no more full band. [PFFFFT]
3. My school is awkward and tense because kids keep leaving and my boss knows i'm leaving soon. [PPpfff...t? i guess that's kind of my fault]
4. My private lesson (that I taught illegally for cash - gasp!) dumped me last week. [PFFFFFT!!]

That's all really. And a couple of those things don't even really bother me that much. But it's on my mind quite a bit. Especially at work (where I am, right now, diligently working).

Also people keep asking me what my plan is for when i get home. It's a fair question, I guess. I'm leaving a paying job and flying back to Atlanta with a couple thousand dollars (hopefully) and no real occupational prospects. I keep saying "I'll figure it out," and I mean that sincerely. I just sort of have to hit the ground running when I get back. Here's my tentative plan.

1. get home.
2. lovin. (for real)
3. see friends/fam and stuff
4. get situated at dad's (sort of. very temporary.).
5. get a "real" job.
6. get a place to live that doesn't already belong to someone else.

Sounds pretty reasonable, huh?
I think so.

Of course I end up spending most of the time thinking about this guy who is pretty amazing....Look what he can do! <3
